| So I was reading over my other entries and looked at the last one. Thanksgiving and Christmas AND New Years have come and gone. I've been to Russia and back, and my 2nd semester of college is about to begin. I can't believe how fast the time flew when I was over there. It was soooooooooooo good to be home with family and friends though.
As I write this, I am at a friend of the family's house in little ole Lynchburg, VA. I head back to the dorm this Thursday. Classes start back up on Monday. As of now, I still don't have a new roomie, so it looks like I'll have a room to myself. However, it is still possible that I may get one (especially since my RA's recommended me as a good roommate). So, we'll see what happens.
Well, I don't really have very much to say besides what I've already said. I love you all and miss you all already. Keep posting and updating. Even though I don't comment as much anymore, I still read and try to keep up with all that's going on over there. Alright, ttyl! | | |
| Since Rebecca guessed what I am, I suppose I shall tell you all. I am
coming back to Moscow for Christmas break!!! Wooohooo!!!! Ya'll...I
seriously cannot wait until I can see all of you and my family and the
snow and my Russian friends at our Russian churches...It is going to be
so ROCK AWESOME!!!!!! *sigh* Only a little less than a month and a half
more. You can make it, Erin... you can make it.
Anyways, I'm off to voice lessons now, so I shall talk to you all later. I love ya'll!!!

| and I am now quite comfortably settled in at Lynchburg. I've got my little group of friends (mainly girls from my hall), and classes are now starting to pretty much wind down for the end of the semester. Two weeks from tomorrow I will be on the road heading up to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving Break!!! Woohoo!!! That excites me. Then, two and a half weeks after I get back from that, I have finals and then it is Christmas break. Can you say, exciting!?!?! Oh yeah, it's exciting. hehe. But not as exciting as the fact that I am...oh wait...I don't want to tell you that...you'll just have to guess what I am...though probably some or most of you already know or can figure it out. haha. Anyways...just wanted to let you all know that I'm doing alright over here in Virginia. I miss all of you a LOT...but I love you more!!! :D Have a super-dee-duper day and I'll talk to you later!!

| Today feels like the first official day of fall. I actually got a little chilled during the middle of the day. :D I love this time of year. And I can honestly say that I think I'm finally more adjusted. I feel content to be here. Monday, I was really tired, stressed, homesick, friendsick, and family sick ;). But through that and other reinforcements, God showed me that He is with me - He is the Good Shepherd that leads me, protects me, comforts me, and is always with me. When I run away, I'm the dumb one, not Him. And He comes running after and searching for me...
Today, I'm tired cause it's been a long day, but it has been a good long day. I leave for church in a few minutes. We're picking up a guy that we led to Christ last week. His parents found out today and aren't happy about it...when Henry, the guy, found out that his parents knew he'd gone to church (we took him last Wed and Sun) he kinda freaked out. So yeah, me and my roomie aren't sure what exactly is going on and what's up with his family. If ya'll could be praying for wisdom for us and safety for Henry, that would be awesome. Just that God would work through this situation and take care of it all so that Henry can keep going to church and be discipled and mentored.
Well, kiddos...I need to get going. I love you all and think of you often. Keep up the hard work over there in the mother land. ;) You rock my socks off!!!

| So guys, it's about to be the end of my third week here at Liberty. This weekend was actually really fun. Tropical Storm Ernesto came and sat right over us Thursday and Friday bringing buckets of rain. In the midst of it I had to walk to class, and yes, the first football game of the season was played. I went to my first college game on Thursday night in the cold rain and stayed until the very end. Oh yeah! :) During that I got a pom-pom, watched fried chicken and biscuits fly back and forth through the air, was nailed by a flying biscuit, and yelled as our team won 27 to 0. Go flames! Yay! Anyways...then Friday night, my roomie and I went in search of Chinese food, which we finally found at the mall, watched "Cars" with 5 other guys we'd met, then went to see Michael Jr. the comedian for free. After watching him for a little, we went back to our room and went to bed. I then woke up at 6:15 and went to the "All Night of Prayer" (our time was from 7-8.) We prayed with our brother dorm, for the school, for our goals for the year, for each other. We then went out to eat at IHOP. I got choco chip pancakes which were massive! It was good to get to know some other people.
Saturday afternoon, after taking a nap and doing some homework, my roomie, Lauren, and I went to a missions cook-out. We got to eat free, good food that wasn't cafeteria food and find about short term/long term missions opportunities that Liberty offers. They've got some really cool trips planned. The one's I'm looking at are the short term trips to: Bosnia, Czech Republic, 5 European countries, France/Tunisia. I'd like to go on one of those. It's really cool because I can use my worship major knowledge in some avenue on each of the trips! That brings me to the next thing that interested me. They have Mu Kappa, an organization for MKs, but it has to been student lead. Right now they don't have anyone leading, so I am praying about that. Even if I don't lead, it's possible I might lead worship for it. So pretty much, these ministry opportunities are the ones that I've gotten really excited about while I've been here. :)
Today is Sunday. I went to church this morning. I'm not feeling too hot tonight and I've got quite a bit of homework, so I didn't go to church tonight. :( Tonight starts Spiritual Emphasis week with Clayton King as our speaker. (John Hagee was speaking tonight at Thomas Road Baptist Church, but I'm missing him. :( ) Hopefully I'll be feeling up to my full capacity by tomorrow for my 7:50 Conemporary Issues class where I will be having a quiz over fallacies. It's a good thing I've already had a lot of teaching in that area. :)
Alright, well, my good ole Ramen Noodles are ready, so I need to go and eat those and then start on my homework. Fun, fun...Hope you all are doing awesome! I miss you guys and am praying for you!
Love ya, Erin
